Flyer design for the opening
Designs created at work for the opening of our new staff 'Chill Out Space' in Dartford.

Our staff had been saying for a few years on our staff survey results that they didn't have anywhere to go to relax on their breaks as the staff rooms weren't very good. So the trust committed to creating three 'chill out spaces' across the three main sites in Dartford, Maidstone and Canterbury.

The first one to open was the Dartford one, and so we needed to go all out with the branding to make sure staff knew that this was finally coming. We went through a few concepts, but finally decided on the designs you can see. We deliberately didn't go too close to the NHS guidelines as this need to look fresh and exciting for staff and I think we definitely did that.

Designs included flyers with the agenda for the day, screensavers, pull up banners, posters, selfie frame and a map to show where the space was located.

I put a lot of hard work into this design, and I'm really glad it paid off. I am extremely proud of this and it was well received by staff across the Trust. We only expected to get 50 people turning up to the opening, but in the end we go about 150, and I'd like to think that my designs played a part in getting us to that number.
